Alton Towers is joining forces with some of its most respected partners this summer, to give families, groups and businesses a day of theme park fun for a fraction of the price.
In a one-off campaign with product brand Procter & Gamble (P&G) and Tesco, Alton Towers is offering two half price entry passes on the packaging of 45 million products, such as Ariel, Bold, Pampers, Fairy Non-Bio and Lenor. Customers will also be able to use the Tesco Discover AR platform to get an augmented 3D reality insight into what they can expect when they visit the newly launched kids’ paradise.
Created by Engine Creative, Tesco Discover was set up to allow customers to learn more about the products they buy, such as food, magazines and gadgets, with a simple scan.
Now however, customers will be able to use the innovative technology to explore parts of CBeebies Land, such as Postman Pat’s Parcel Post Ride and the In The Night Garden Magical Boat Ride, before they have even arrived.
Senior group marketing manager for mobile at Tesco Mark Cody said:
Our 360 degree approach to AR enables us to turn our stores and publications into retail theatre, with immersive experiences that provide s our customers access to deeper product information across our range.”
As well as this interactive campaign for families, Alton Towers is also offering exclusive corporate packages for organisations and businesses that wish to enjoy a great day out of the office.
For a bunch of limited dates only, the park is offering employers the chance to gain exclusive access to its rides and attractions for just £17 per person (based on a minimum of 5000 delegates). Access to the park will range from 10am to 6pm and no area will be left out of bounds.
From the world’s first vertical drop roller coaster Oblivion, to Alton Towers’ latest world record-breaking addition, The Smiler, delegates will have the time of their lives breaking loose from their desks and unleashing their inner adrenaline junkie.
Businesses are welcome to book an overnight stay for delegates at one of Alton Towers’ interactive hotels, each offering access to the spa, a range of bars and restaurants and the Cariba Creek indoor waterpark – voted one of the best of its kind in Europe.
Dates available currently include Monday November 10 2014; Sunday Nov 15 and Friday March 20 in 2015.
